NOTD–Models Own Gold Rush

Ahhh the finale in my Models Own trilogy. This will only be a quickie as you all know about Models Own I’m sure yada yada yada.

ModelsOwnGoldRush

This is Gold Rush, a metallic warm gold. It looks kinda yellowy in some lights but not so much here. I love metallic colours and the Models Own ones I have tried are pretty good, this was 2 coats, 3 on some nails.

I took a few pictures as it looks different in almost every light.

It looks a little odd on me, maybe with a tan (I think everything would look better with a tan, if I try this in the summer and it still looks shit I will be annoyed!) or a darker skin tone than mine, which isn’t difficult.

I got 3 days wear with minimal tip wear/chipping which is good for me. This was £5 from Boots and is also available on the Models Own website.

  1. oooh i love models Own, this one is lovely. In response to your Qu on ny blog, I got the Art Deco plates from Amazon, they were only slightly cheaper than Konad. Konad is good, but it is the shipping that seems to bump the price up which is annoying! Hope this helps? xx

  2. Aw thank you for getting back so quick! Thats great thanks, when payday comes I'll have a look. I don't know why more UK brands don't try making some plates, surely people would buy if they were a reasonable price? I've read somewhere Essence do some and I'm going to France, Germany and the Netherlands in the summer so if I don't see some I'll be grumpy!

  3. Oooh I haven't heard of Essence doing them, I think Rio do them, (they used to sell in Argos) I think Tesco online sell Rio stamping kit but they don't seem to sell the plates on their own, they seem to sell them in a set with the plates. I recommend buying one or two Konad plates, because there are so many designs you can do. Experiment with different colours :-) xx
