Boots Vitamin E Eye Cream

Hi ladies! How are you all? I can’t wait for summer to come and be rid of all this work, I feel like a tortoise with a pile of crap on my back I can’t wait to be rid of! Like coming out of my cocoon if you will…

I know not everyone uses eye cream. I don’t know if there is a set age you are supposed to or there are any signs that suggest you should but I use one morning and night. I have in the past gotten dry patches under my eye area so I use one just to make sure they don’t reappear. Also as I have crazy dark circles I figure if the area is dry they will just look worse and that is probably one of the last things I need.

For the grand sum of £2.54 you get 15ml of product in a squeeze tube. I got this as I wanted an eye cream for daytime with an SPF which was difficult to find in Boots, for a reasonable price anyway. I don’t need one that is anti-aging just yet, I want moisturisation and SPF in a cream that sinks in quickly.

You can see the description of this cream above. I’d agree that it is light and non-greasy but the rest of it? No. I’ve been using this for a good few months now and haven’t seen any change in puffiness or dark circles. I do only use this in the mornings as the SPF is unnecessary at night and I have an eye cream that takes an age to sink in that I use instead but still, after several months (maybe four) use if it is going to make a change I’d expect to see it by now.

You can see it is slightly tinted so it doesn’t leave a white cast that some eye creams have done on me.

All in all, this suits its purpose for me. If you require moisturisation and something that sinks in quickly for a great price then this is for you. If you are looking for something heavy duty that provides results then maybe not!

Repurchase: Yes, if I don’t find anything else with SPF that appeals to me!

Do you use eye cream? If so, does it have an SPF? I would ideally like to use a higher SPF than 15 in the summer, I’ll have to have a scout around!

Available from Boots.

  1. I was very impressed with the SKII Facial Treatment Essence (http://www.geocities.jp/hongkong_skii/index_e.htm), enough so that I have continued to use the product daily as part of my skin care routine after the test period. It's a luxury purchase to be sure, but this is one of the best products that can really make a significant difference in your skin, and so worth every penny.

I applied the treatment each morning and evening after cleansing my skin and before moisturizer/primer and then makeup. Within just a few days I could see that my skin was much more supple and smooth - particularly in the t-zone. After about two weeks, I loved the beautiful glow my skin had - even without makeup.
